Mr. Dillard has been a member of the Board of Directors for Bank of Essex since 1982. He is a partner in the Dillard and Katona Law Firm, located in Tappahannock.

Mr. Peery is President of Peery Enterprises. He was elected to the Board of TransCommunity Financial Corporation in 2002 and elected Chairman of that Board in 2006.

Mr. Simanson is the founder of Community Bankers Acquisition Corporation. He served as its President and Chief Executive Officer and as a member of its Board of Directors from 2005 until 2008. He has served as Managing Director of First Capital Group, L.L.C., an investment banking advisory firm since 1997 and has worked in the banking industry for over twenty years, specializing in mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Longest was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Essex on January 1, 1999. Prior to assuming his present position, Mr. Longest had been Senior Vice President and Senior Loan Officer. Mr. Longest has served as a director of Bank of Essex since 1999 and has been with BOE since February of 1989.

Mr. Thomas was formerly Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary of BOE Financial Services of Virginia, Inc. He currently serves as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Offier and Corporate Secretary of Community Bankers Trust Corporation. Mr. Thomas has been with BOE since 1990.

Mr. Tewell was formerly Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of TransCommunity Financial Corporation. He currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of Community Bankers Trust Corporation. Mr. Tewell has been with TFC since 2007.
