The bank subsidiary, Bank of Essex, is a state chartered bank which has operated in Virginia since 1926 and has 13 full-service banking facilities from Virginia's Chesapeake Bay to the Shenandoah Valley under the Bank of Essex, Bank of Goochland, Bank of Powhatan, Bank of Louisa and Bank of Rockbridge brand names. Bank of Essex also operates 4 full-service banking facilities in the greater Atlanta, Georgia market under the Essex Bank brand name.
